We became an Enviroschool in 2021, realising that ongoing care of our land and our people was a shared ideal of our community, our kura and the Enviroschools kaupapa. It also connects really beautifully with our vision to be Kaitiaki for our Community. We are proud to say that in March 2024 we met the criteria to become a Bronze Enviroschool!!
We love that through Enviroschools our students are empowered to come up with, lead and maintain projects to better our school and help create a sustainable future.
We have a beautiful vision map for the future of our school, designed by a now ex-student, but which is a collaboration of student, staff and whānau ideas about what our school could be.
Our recently established Green Team (a group of students, adults and whānau from across our kura) are going to decide on the projects that we develop next, which will be collectively worked on by our whole school.
