29 June 2018 - Mycoplasma Bovis (M.bovis) / Glen Oroua Lamb & Calf Day

Due to the outbreak of M.bovis and the risks associated with this, the Manawatu Oroua Boys and Girls Agricultural Club have decided not to hold calf classes at this year's Championship Day held in Rongotea in November.

Glen Oroua School usually have a large number of students who raise and show their calves at our Lamb and Calf Day. Taking into account the Ag Club's decision, and having considered the guidelines provided by MPI and Dairy NZ, Glen Oroua School BOT has decided not to host any calf classes this year.  Students are encouraged to raise and show lambs.  We may also offer a kid (goat) class if there is interest, and other Agricultural / Horticultural classes for those students unable to raise a lamb.
