Room 3 Daffodil Poems

Inspired by the recent visit of NZ author and poet, Glenn Colquhoun, the children of Room 3 have been writing poems.

Daffodils are like the sun.

Daffodils like rain.

They look like a beanstalk with a yellow wheel.

They smell like honey.

Strong.

The stem looks like a stalk of peppermint.

We love daffodils.

By Yulana and Nathan

Daffodils are yellow and green.

Soft and yellow like a lion's mane.

The middle is a tiny pot.

They are wet and beautiful.

By Sophie and Lily

Daffodils, daffodils, daffodils.

Daffodils are yellow and green.

They look like yellow buns.

They smell like honey and milk.

By Zoe and Casey

Daffodils are green leaves and big yellow flowers.

Special flowers for Daffodil Day.

Daffodils look like spaceships.

By Eva and Gemma

Daffodils can wave around.

It smells like sugar.

A yellow flower like a lion's head.

In the middle it looks like a couch.

I love daffoldils.
